A new face in the office – the Mohegan Council welcomes new Quinsigamond District Executive

The Mohegan Council is happy to welcome to the team a new District Executive for the Quinsigamond District. Jim Mutschler is joining the Mohegan Council as the Quinsigamond District Executive, after a 37-year career with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. claims department. During his tenure with Liberty, Jim handled a wide variety of roles, from front line claims handler, to the leadership of regional operations and countrywide projects.

Since retiring from Liberty Mutual earlier this year, Jim and his wife Michele have relocated from Hopkinton, MA to Holden.

As a youth in Pennsylvania, Jim earned the rank of Eagle Scout, participated in the a Philmont National High Adventure Base experience, worked camp staff, and became a Vigil member of the O.A. As an adult leader with Troop 1 in Hopkinton, MA, he chaired the Trip Committee for several years, guiding many adventures such as dog sledding, flying, NYC touring, and an overnight sailing adventure on the Ernestina schooner. He was also active in troop fundraising, boards of review, and MC’ed Eagle Scout courts of honor.

Jim has years of non-profit experience with the Hopkinton Lion’s Club, performed key membership and fundraising roles. His additional volunteer work includes supporting the Boston Marathon, the Appalachian Mountain Club’s trail maintenance program, and home construction work for the Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity.

We know that Jim will be a great leader for the Quinsigamond District and we are excited to have him on board!
