Herb Adams honored

Longtime scouter, Herb Adams of Worcester, has been honored by the Worcester Veterans Council as their Veteran of the Year for his work with veteran services and community programs.

Herb served in the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II. As a member of the 82nd Airborne, Herb was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart

Herb has been active in scouting for more than 45 years. During his tenure in scouting, Herb has served as Scoutmaster, Chartered Organization Representative, District Commissioner, District Training Chairman, Wood Badge Scoutmaster, Philmont Scoutmaster, Jamboree Scoutmaster and much more. Herb has been a valuable volunteer at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation for many years.

The Mohegan Council salutes Herb for untiring work to improve our community.
