Scouting provides a series of surmountable obstacles with the education and mentoring required for solving and overcoming the challenges of Scouting. Recognition for advancement comes in the form of pins, beads, belt loops, badges, rank patches. Every rank in scouting is reached through accomplishments by the scout. These requirements are made up of age-appropriate activities that help mould and grow the child into a self-sufficient, confident, and able adult.
