Along with operating income and capital income, endowment income is the third fundamental pillar of Scouting. By contributing to the Mohegan Council endowment funds helps to sustain the growth and sustainability of the scouting program in central Massachusetts.

Scoutmaster Harold “Jack” Jackson & Eagle Scout Jonathan Scott Gendron Endowed Campership Fund

A Growing Investment Fund to Eventually Support Campership Assistance

Purpose of the fund is to provide camperships (financial subsidy) for BSA Mohegan Council or other council scouts to attend Treasure Valley at the sole discretion of the Mohegan Council board of directors and its authorized executives. This fund is named in honor of a beloved retired Worcester Scoutmaster, Harold “Jack” Jackson and in memory of Eagle Scout Jonathan Scott Gendron. Gifts of any amount may be added to the fund at any time by the BSA Mohegan Council, Inc.

Contributions restricted to the endowed campership fund should be made payable to the BSA Mohegan Council, Inc. and with a memo indicating for the endowed campership fund.

BSA National Foundation Major Gifts Recognition Awards

James E. West Fellowship

West Fellowship Award is a recognition presented by the BSA National Foundation to individuals who contribute $1,000 or more in cash or securities to the Mohegan Council Endowment fund. This contribution is in addition to, and should not diminish or replace, the donor’s annual gift to the Friends of Scouting Campaign.

Second Century Society

Second Century Society PinA major gift is one of the best ways to ensure that outstanding programs will continue to be available and will grow to meet the needs of the youth and communities served. In gratitude for such support, the BSA Nationally offers recognition awards. These awards are presented by the local council to donors who support Scouting’s financial needs with gifts of $25,000 and up.
