Boy Scouts is a volunteer run organization. Every day of the year there are volunteers working in the Packs, Troops, Crews and Posts to ensure that our youth members will “Be Prepared. For Life.” Assisting these front line leaders are more volunteers that support the units in various Committee or Commissioner roles.

At leader meetings there isn’t a lot of bragging going on. But just sit around a campfire and listen to the stories about the work they do, and you will quickly see the strong commitment, and understand the strong positive impact that they create, by “simply doing their job.” But it is not a job, it is a passionate commitment to service that is the driver. We should regularly recognize their efforts and outcomes.
