Spring Beaver Days

 We are looking for volunteers of all ages and abilities
to help prepare the Camp for the Summer!

Beaver Days are work days held throughout the year to help with needed projects at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation.

We need your help to get camp open! Looking for a way to give back to camp? Want to help improve camp? Come out to one of our Spring Beaver Days!

April 29th – Beaver Day!

All are welcome! One of two Beaver Days held in the Spring each year! You can register as a Troop/Pack or individually! Campsites are free for all of those who volunteer. Start time is 8:30 with lunch included!

May 20th – Beaver Day AND Open House

This Saturday is a big weekend for TVSR! We have a Webelos Under the Stars open house on the West Camp. We have our Scoutmaster Meeting and SPL Camp Orientation on the East Side! To top it off we have a morning of service planned. Start time is 8:30 with lunch included!

Tentative Schedule for the day:

  • 8:30 am Arrival at Benedict Field, Coffee and Water available. (Day visitors park in Jamboree Field)
  • 8:45am Welcome and assignments.
  • Noon  Lunch at Pine Point
  • 1:00-3:30pm Afternoon Projects (April 29 only)
  • 4:00 pm All camp materials and tools returned to Benedict Field

Arrow of Light Ring (NEW Webelos Camp fire ring!)

  • Chip debris
  • Cut stumps
  • Build benches

Trading Post (Eagle Lodge)

  • Clean around building
  • Painting
  • Clearing leaves
  • Spreading Mulch

Boonesville Plain

  • Landscaping
  • Planting
  • Spread mulch

Want to improve your own campsite? We’ve got projects in every site. Help get your campsite ready for summer camp! We’d be happy to put you to work on platform repair, campfire ring repair, and spreading mulch in campsites.

Tools

Have a leaf blower? Hand tools? Gloves? Bring them with you! We have a lot of clean up and you might prefer to use your favorite leaf blower over our old rakes. We need your help to get camp ready!

 

Please Bring:

  • Work clothes
  • Boots or tennis shoes (no open toed shoes)
  • Work gloves
  • Any personal tools you may find useful

Weekend Camping

Weekend camping for units is provided free of charge for units who volunteer, must be reserved ahead of time! Contact the Council Service Center to reserve a campsite.

Follow up

Your time at camp counts as service hours for your unit! Don’t forget to log your service hours!
